I've yet to swap in my sim, but I've been using my new (to me) Pixel 8 with /e/os from @murena for almost two weeks now for social media, email, Signal, and web browsing, and I am VERY pleased.

Install took an hour or so, but I did not have a single problem. Apart from the obvious privacy advantages of de-Googled Android, it's just a very enjoyable and trouble-free experience. I have also been quite happy with the quality of images taken with the default camera app.
