Writer Paul Laverty specifically mentioned Susan Sarandon, whose image is featured on a 2026 festival poster.
Sarandon stated her agency dropped her in 2023 in response to her public statements and activism regarding Gaza.
Laverty also named Javier Bardem and Mark Ruffalo as actors potentially facing similar blacklisting.
He expressed shame towards Hollywood figures involved in such actions against those speaking out against the conflict.
