It feels like a blur but my favorite moment was mentioning @rstockm’s +1 principle… spotting him in the audience… and fangirling « you’re here! I quote you all the time » (we had never met previously).

I’m also super grateful for the opportunity to connect IRL with my Fedi friends. It’s amazing to be a part of this Rebel Alliance, fighting the good fight 💖

If my promo video was a 4 min love letter to the Fediverse, well this 15 minute presentation is the extended cut, wishing to spread hope and joy about the future of this incredible online space.

I’m feeling a tad emotional this morning because when I turned on my phone at 6:30am I had LOTS of messages of encouragement from Fedi friends - who texted me on Signal and Matrix. They even wrote to me before my family 🥹 Thank you! 💖

6:40am local time and I’m on the train to the airport - destination: Hamburg for the #2MR conference where I’ll be speaking tomorrow morning. Topic: my dreams for the Fediverse ❤️

It’ll be my first time in the city and I look forward to exploring it this afternoon. If you have any recommendations (esp. re: where to get good coffee that an Italian would appreciate) I’m all ears 😊
