The info used should relate to the message, without being too much of a stretch. If they've spoken strongly about data privacy, then Mastodon's lack of data harvesting and tracking should resonate with them. If they mention that they want to broaden their reach in the community then Mastodon is an opportunity to gain new followers. Where possible integrate their own words into the message you're sending.

A gentle reminder that a little effort in reaching out to a local elected representative could result in someone cute and cuddly joining your family. Our #ProselytizingforPlushtodons campaign has the objective of convincing Canadian politicians to join the Mastodon community and rewarding you with a #Plushtodon and some informative reading material. The key is to be consistent without being an irritant. Once or twice a month is about right and don't forget to alter the message each time.
