For the sake of my own humanity and to avoid the kind of repetition that eventually numbs, I have chosen to spend most of my energy on posts that record everyday existence. There are moments tho, when I feel moved to restate.. I still see, I still bear witness, I do know and I do care
So this is such a moment
It feels redundant to state that there is irrefutable evidence of Israel's ongoing atrocities against Palestinians. There is not just evidence. Monstrous acts on an industrial scale are being carried out on a daily basis, in the full light of day. The levels of depravity are only equalled by the most sick historical examples of human barbarism. I do not need to name them. We all know. And Israel is not just like them. It is their equal. The same disease. The same boundless cruelty. The same evil. I have no difficulty with the possibility that October 7th was their Reichstag moment. What about Israel's actions since makes one feel they would not be most capable of such a manufactured justification?

I know they have become monsters. That much is not even remarkable anymore. What is? To me, what needs to be noted are the actions of our own governments across the West. Their complicity. Our complicity. Their inhumanity. Our inhumanity. Their lies. Our lies. Their guilt. Our guilt
And know this..
When the only logical conclusion is that the sole thing standing in the way of our own governments committing a genocide on their own people is not so much a moral objection as a lack of an immediate imperative, soon enough the day will come when they find that imperative. We will then know what it means to say..
We are all Palestinian
