Tip: you can reduce the heat your laptop/desktop computer generates by limiting its CPU frequency.

To restrict all cores to 800MHz on Linux, run one of these two commands as root:

cpupower frequency-set -u 800MHz

echo 800000 >/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq

My #Heatwave tips:
1. Create airflow through your home during the night, when air is cooler (fansss!!!)

2. Add reflective film to south facing windows, shut shutters and curtains during the day.

3. Shut windows at 10am at latest to keep the cool air in.

4. Hydrate

5. Don't go straight for a cold shower before bed, start lukewarm and drop the temperature slowly, you'll cool off more.

6. Linen does wonders and is cooler than cotton

7. Wear a cold wet t-shirt at home. Have a cold foot bath.
