Analysis: Undersea data cables in the Strait of Hormuz:

Some Iranian news outlets have raised the issue of the cables' vulnerability to attack:

"99% of internet traffic goes via undersea cables, & 30% at some point transits the Strait of Hormuz."

Cut cables would affect world communications in a lethal blow to US Central Command & hostile neighbors of Iran."

PS afaik, these are hints, not direct govt threats.
