Hmm, thinking of getting rid of my Loops account. Nothing against @dansup , Loops is great after all. However the two main reasons I tried it was one, a desire to TikTok but Federated, and the second was to provide me with a solution to one of the biggest problems with Friendica, it can't handle media, you can't upload video or audio files, but you can link or embed them. Now however, this is my home, although I am looking for someone hosting Wafrn instances, and it handles media just fine. Well, I do wish alt text was optional on videos, it doesn't make much sense on video, assuming there's audio, but I doubt you can make the alt text requirement change based on the kind of media.
So, since I can post short videos here, why bother with a short video service? I suppose it would make sense if'n it served as my primary social media, or at least a significant part of it, but its not, videos are just another way I express m'self depending on my mood and the subject. I will say I am considering a PeerTube, but not sure, I could see m'self doing some long form videos now and then, but likely that'd be around one a month at best if that.
I suppose that will be something for the future, for now, its a matter of making things a bit leaner, a bit more organized, I like things lean and organized when possible.
