🇪🇺 Pay transparency is about to reshape recruitment across Europe. ✨
Under the EU Pay Transparency Directive (Directive (EU) 2023/970), all Member States must ensure that employers disclose starting salaries or clear pay ranges in job ads or before the first interview, and stop asking candidates about their salary history. ✨ From June 2026, this framework will progressively roll out at national level, with additional obligations on gender pay gap reporting for companies above 100 employees.
For European hiring teams, this is not just a compliance issue, it is a shift in how we design roles, set pay, and communicate with talent, a move from “competitive salary” to transparent, explainable compensation structures. At n816 Media and European Network Dynamics, we see this as an opportunity to build trust, strengthen employer brands, and support fair access to innovation driven roles across the European health and tech ecosystem 💡.
How ready is your organisation for Directive (EU) 2023/970, from job ads to data and governance around pay decisions ? 🚀
