An image of the “MANGOS” 🥭 has been circulating widely on social media to describe the new AI power club: Meta, Anthropic, Nvidia, Google, OpenAI and SpaceX. I think it is missing at least one key player, Apple, so I had a bit of fun and turned it into “OMNAGAS” instead, using each company’s logo to spell out this updated acronym, which also sounds uncomfortably close to a single omnipotent gas monopoly.

In European Network Dynamics, we take this as a reminder of why an open, independent and pro European digital ecosystem is so important in the age of AI and infrastructure concentration.
